Frank J Ciuba DPT, MS
President / Chief Physical Therapist
Dr. Ciuba is the owner of H/S Therapy Associates and the MaxLife Health Center and graduated from Temple University with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 1992. Dr. Ciuba received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University in December 2004. His expertise includes orthopedic and sports-related injuries, aquatic rehabilitation, neurological and balance disorders, and industrial rehabilitation.
Recently Dr. Ciuba obtained his Level 3 Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Golf Fitness Instructor certification. Dr. Ciuba is now able to perform biomechanical evaluations of golfers and prescribe an appropriate, objective researched exercise program used by 22 of the top 25 PGA tour pros. The client will receive a 3 page report outlining strengths and weaknesses in their ability to produce a favorable golf swing. Dr. Ciuba collaborates regularly with local golf professionals regarding swing mechanics.
Dr. Ciuba is currently a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association (PPTA). Dr. Ciuba is a member of the Private Practice Section of the APTA, and has a special interest in the Legislative Committee of the Southeast District of the PPTA. Dr. Ciuba spent four years as Chair of the Private Practice Special Interest Group and was the previous President of the Independent Physical Therapy Alliance (IPTA). Dr. Ciuba routinely speaks in the community regarding physical therapy intervention for the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. Dr. Ciuba currently resides in Harleysville, PA, with his wife Suzanne, their two daughters and son.
Kathryn Moore Helfrich
Physical Therapist Assistant
Kate joined the practice as student in May 2008. She has graduated from Penn State University with an associate in science from the Physical Therapist Assistant program and recently received her licensure as a PTA from the state of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Along with providing physical therapy services, she also performs one-on-one and partners training sessions at MaxLife Health Center. She lives with her husband Nate in Telford.
